Shroom and Gloom release date
Shroom and Gloom is out, but only in Steam Early Access. The version the developers call 1.0 has no date yet, just a planned length of time, and the free demo has been around far longer than either.

Is Shroom and Gloom out?
It is, as a paid Early Access game. The launch post opens with the line “Shroom and Gloom is now out in Steam Early Access!” in Steam announcement: Shroom and Gloom explodes into Early Access!, 10 September 2026. Early Access means the game is still being built while you play it: the developers describe the current build as “in a good, playable state, with all key features implemented” on the Shroom and Gloom on the Steam store, 10 September 2026. What that build contains, and what is still to come, is laid out on the Early Access and roadmap page.
The developers have also said they do not plan to change the price between Early Access and the full release. The price page has the current cost and that statement word for word.
When does the full version come out?
Nobody outside the studio can put a day on it, because the studio hasn’t. What exists is a plan in two parts. The store page gives the length: 12 to 24 months in Early Access. The launch post gives the shape of the road to 1.0: “Between here and the final 1.0 release, we’ll roll out a few major updates to introduce new characters and cards.” from Steam announcement: Shroom and Gloom explodes into Early Access!, 10 September 2026
12 months in
September 2027
The earliest end of the planned Early Access period.
24 months in
September 2028
The latest end of the planned Early Access period.
Those two months are arithmetic on the stated plan, counted from the launch day. They are not release dates: a plan is not a promise. When the developers publish a roadmap, it will show up on the updates page.
Which platforms it released on
Early Access launched on Steam for Windows and macOS only. The developers’ own FAQ says “The game will launch on PC and Mac”, with other platforms to be looked at once it is out (pinned in Steam discussion: FAQs here!!, 10 September 2026). No console, Switch or phone release date exists; the platforms page tracks each one separately.
Language support at launch was English and Simplified Chinese. The same FAQ says other languages roll out later, without dates.
